1 year Knitiversary

I just realized today that it's around the time I started knitting a year ago. I'm rather excited I've reached this point and am still quite in love. My past endeavors with crafting were usually filled with lust and betrayal for other more attractive crafts. Then I finally found a home in my knitting. I thought now would be the perfect time to keep a record of what I've accomplished in a year and what new knitting skills I plan to attempt.

Achievements:
- Learned how to cable with the Irish Hiking Scarf
- First wearable garment with the Anthropolgie Inspired Capelet
- 1.5 pairs of socks. Thus, learning how bad Second Sock Syndrome can be.
- Learned lace with the Branching Out Scarf
- Fiber Trends Felted Clog pattern. It wasn't amazingly hard, it was just a great pattern!
- Gloves. I find this a major achievement given how tedious those damn fingers are.
- Dabbled in charted colorwork with the Kureyon Kozy
- Using 2 circs for circular knitting

Goals:
- Toe up socks. Perhaps 2 at once?
- My first sweater. A full size sweater... not a shrug, not short-sleeved.
- Lace shawl
- Entrelac with the Lady E wrap
- Learn to seam the right way. Not the "half-assed, I-hope-it-will-hold" way.

I finally finished my first pair of socks and I definitely want to knit them 2 at a time in the future. The first sock only took me a week, but the second sock took me about 3+ weeks, working on and off with other projects. Good luck with all your goals this year. It is been just about a year since I picked up the sticks again after a 12 year hiatus.
