So yesterday Dave had a 'cigar meetup' with some guys he knows from a cigar messageboard. When he came home that evening he told me this story. They were out to eat at a local bar, when a quite attractive woman came in. Apparently all the guys were of course checking her out. My wonderful husband had this confession he had to make to them: "While all you guys are checking out her ass, I was sitting here admiring the cables in her sweater." I don't think he appreciated how hard I laughed when he told me this last night. He jokingly said he felt like he just turned in his "man card." It just shows me he actually listens when I start rambling on about knitting. Which, he better listen. I pay attention to his cigar banter after all.
In other knitting news, I have finished one of my kool aid dyed, 1st 2 circ knitting attempt socks. It came out rather nice. It's a wee bit snug, but damnit I will still wear it with pride. That is, if I ever get around to making the next one. A skein of koigu has been whispering in my ear lately and distracting me from sock monogamy. Also, my simple shrug is soooo close to being done. I am just working on the damn collar ribbing. It doesn't fit how I imagined it to, but it's still rather cute. Next up, peekaboo mittens!

Hi Miranda, I too have finished one sock and I am stuggling to complete the second one. I recently read an article about how to do a pair of socks at a time on two circular needles. I think I will be going this route in the future, because what can you do with just one sock and with all the other projects call it is hard to stay focused to complete the second one. Good luck in completing your second sock. I can't wait to see the finished pair.
