stash refresher

Lately I've been dealing with overwhelmingly urges of stash enhancement cravings. Example A: see previous entry for a blurb of my yearnings. There's also been drooling over the new STR colorways, FA Sea Wool, and MANY other items at Woolgirl. There, now I hope others are now suffering and petting their monitors along with me!

But to curb these desires I decided to revisit my minuscule stash and plot out the future projects I have yarn for.

- 10 skeins of Noro Silk Garden #247 for a Lady Eleanor
- 2 skeins of Malabrigo laceweight in Stone Crest for a Shetland Triangle Shawl from Wrap Style
- 2 skeins Koigu KPPPM P141 for a pair of socks. Pattern unknown. Any suggestions?
- 1 skein Koigu KFM 373 which will probably be used for an Old Shale scarf.
- 2 skeins of a Merino/Cashmere sock yarn that is going to socks for a mother's day present.

This is really the only amount of stash I have. Everything else are partial balls of leftover yarn from various projects. I don't know whether I should be proud or embarrassed of my tiny stash. hehe

I went through major stash enhancement last year. It can be addicting. Personally, I vote for you to start a Lady E. But then I'm biased. I'm still loving knitting on mine.

I just got my first taste of the Socks that Rock yarn. I haven't started using it yet, but I think I am going to love it.

By the way, you should feel good about having a small stash, at least you don't have to find lots of hiding places for it.

Oooh, Lady E! I want to spin for one.

There are downsides to having a large stash. Dust mites, for one. Storing things in plastic helps, but there is nothing that's going to redeem a 10-year-old skein of yarn if you have allergy problems.

If you have to have a stash on the smaller side, you should indeed be proud of yours! It's got great stuff in it. :)
