I'm slacking off with the blogging again. I've been busy doing massive amounts of research for starting up my business. Getting a DBA, researching possible insurance, seeing if I need a seller's permit, trying out different recipes for scrubs, soaps, etc. Oh, and then there's looking into packaging, logos, and labels. Phew! Last night I made a sample bath salt recipe. It's all natural, no preservatives or artificial colorings. It smells richly of lavender. Weeee! My sugar scrub wasn't as successful. It just seemed too oily to me. So I have to tweak the recipe on that one. Next up... soap, lip balm, and whipped shea butter.
I've also been playing with hand dyeing sock yarn. I loooove it even though there has been a fair amount of mishaps. I will be selling several skeins in the next couple days. The weather has been so crappy so it's been hard to get decent pictures of them showing their true colors. Here's a teaser though: Clicky for more info on the yarn.

I can't wait for the lip balm! I'm an organic-products junkie!
The soap venture sounds like it is coming along. I can't wait to try some of your products. I also love the colorway of the yarn. I bought some Bare yarn from Knit Picks awhile back, but I haven't had the guts to try it out. Let us know when you post your yarn for sale. One can always use more sock yarn, right!
You colored that yarn? It's beautiful. I love it. I want some.. make more please. :-) Whipped Shea butter sounds so Enticing. Make more of that too.. hee.
I really love the color of that yarn! Gorgeous!
I can't wait till you have your recipes sorted out! Do you need a guniea pig to test on? I'd volunteer. ;)
