it takes brains

I'm trying to stay on the regular blogging bandwagon, so here we go! I think a little bit of my knitting mojo has returned. I've started working on a little lace bag with some Koigu and then the Saturday Market Bag with Sugar n Cream in this pretty Blue and Purple colorway. I haven't knit on anything in a couple days because I was tired out and engrossed in a book. Speaking of books, I had to share another great site with everyone. PaperBackSwap is a site where you post your books you are willing to mail to other people to keep. In return, you get a credit to pick out a book someone else has posted. To get started on the site, you post 9 books and you get 3 credits to pick out books! I'm hopelessly addicted already. I've posted about 10 books, picked out 2 and am mailing out 2 today. I've always compulsively kept all the books I've ever read. I realized today that this is pretty silly because I'm NEVER able to reread books. I memorize them the first time I read them. So why keep them? Instead I've decided to either swap them or take them to a used book store. It's much more practical on the budget I have now. Plus it makes me extremely happy to know that there's more than one person getting enjoyment from each respective book.
