I have a bit of a dilemma. Look over to the right there. See my On the Needles section? Well, it's way too empty. The one project that's cast on right now I haven't touched since December. I have no desire to pick it up because it's my first lace project and I need to be distraction-free to work on it. It's a husband-better-not-sit-too-close kind of project.
Now I do have all sorts of patterns that are calling to me right now. Most of them are short sleeve tops and such. Unfortunately I have no yarn for these kinds of things. My stash is tiny. It all fits in one of those 56 qt Rubbermaid tubs. Most of it are random skeins leftover from various projects I've completed long ago. The yarn I do have no longer whispers my name. Like that bag of Silk Garden I have to make a Lady Eleanor... Colder weather is nothing but a distant dream right now so I have no urge to work on a big cozy wrap. Or the gorgeous Malabrigo laceweight. It's so pretty I'm afraid to even taint it with my ball winder. Plus there's the fact that the Shetland Triangle Shawl pattern intimidates the hell out of me. Then there are the patterns I have the duty that I need to finish them. There's the 2nd cashmere sock I have to start for my mom. I also have a coin purse out of dog yarn that I need to finish for charity.
The urge for knitting is there, it just needs a swift kick in the arse.

Perhaps a kicking swap is on order. I have promised to start a tank this month and have it done by my BD next month. Have I even swatched for it?
