Has anyone noticed that it seems like almost everyone and their mother is currently working on a lace shawl? Maybe it's just me, but I want to go jump off this proverbial bridge now too! I have 2 skeins of Malabrigo laceweight in Stonechat that is burning a hole in my stash. Thankfully I don't have any appropriate needles so it can't bully me into casting it on before I get more of my mom's sock done. I am currently trying to narrow down which pattern I want to do. This would be my first attempt at knitting lace with actual laceweight yarn. So I have no problem admitting I fear I may get perturbed at it and cast it aside. Thus, I'm looking for a fairly simple pattern. Here's my current options:
Kiri
Print O' the Wave
Luna Moth
Shetland Triangle Shawl from Wrap Style
Decisions, decisions!

They are all pretty, but the Luna Moth shawl is different than any of the ones I've seen "the group" working on. It also sounds really good with that return row all purls feature. With lace it's nice to have that little idiot proof mental break row - just purl, no counting.

I've got some lace Malabrigo burning a hole in my stash too-- have fun deciding which to do! Hopefully I'll get to Wednesday 'Bou again sometime soon.
I'm working on the luna moth right now. It's really pretty. I kinda got stuck and put it away for now.
Ooooh, I really love Kiri. Gorgeous! Good luck deciding!
