if only the camera worked...

It's been a few months since I bought my bargain of a drum carder on craigslist, but it wasn't until this weekend that I gave it a good cleaning via the vacuum cleaner. So tonight I decided to play fiber chef and mix up lots of random roving to make some pretty batts. I quickly learned merino is the most cooperative and fun to play with. I only made 2 batts with some merino I had on hand, but now I'm fiending to make some more! I made about 4 other batts with domestic wool, mohair locks and other miscellaneous goodies, which would probably make some interesting art yarns when spun up. Unfortunately my digital camera doesn't seem to be on good speaking terms with the computer so I have no pictures to show off.

That's ok, no camera needed, I can visualize merino! *drooool*

Did you card up some of that stuff I dumped on you?
