Good Grief!

I had no idea I hadn't updated my blog since October! I had even forgotten what my username was to log into blogger. I blame Ravelry. I spend more time on that website, and less time knitting, blogging, and sleeping.

So what have I been up to? Same ol, same ol to be completely honest. Knitting, soaping, dyeing, working, ad nauseam. On the knitting front I'm working on Jacyll & hide for my dad for Christmas and a pair of Christmas socks for me. I got the yarn from the oh-so-generous Wierdlings who put it on herself to be my swap angel after I was seemingly stiffed in the Bad Day Swap. I am debating about starting a pair of thrummed mittens also. As for soapmaking, I have a 15 lb shipment of oils that should be landing on my doorstep on Monday. It should have been here Friday, but the husgeek wasn't home as he usually is to sign for things. On my list of soaps I'm planning on making is more Oatmeal! Oh my! and Hint-o-Mint. In the works I'm planning an Acne Soap using lavender and tea tree essential oils. Also, perhaps a Rasberry/Green Tea bar. We will have to wait and see!

I'm still working on building up a stock for my etsy shop. I have 2 skeins of sock yarn left, some merino laceweight that needs to be dyed, some carded batts, and more. I've got plans to also build a light tent to get some decent pictures. I've asked Santa for a digital camera so I should be able to have some pictures to finally go along with my blog entries! ;)

I would love to hear about your light tent project. It drives me crazy that I can't get a decent picture of some of my FOs. That is unless I take them outside, and as you might imagine it is way to cold to be outside, not to mention the snow, and lately the freezing rain.
