101 in 1001

The original idea is from the DayZero website, where you can find a ton of 101 lists for inspiration

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e. represent some amount of work on the doer's part part).

Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Cross goals off the list as you do them, and add the dates. Include the date you started the list and the finishing date. (You can use this handy calculator to help figure out the finish date.)

I will be adding my own 101 list in a sidebar shortly. Right now I'm at 70 goals!

I can help you with #10 on your 101 things to do in 2008. Bring over your supplies the next time you come to Saturday morning club and we can scrapbook together. It always seems to be more fun doing with a friend. Happy New Year!
