another day

Lately I've been whittling away at my list of 101 goals. They still need a little tweaking, but it has been feeling really good seeing how much I actually get done during the course of a day, a week, etc. I've been spinning, knitting, reading and cooking.

Speaking of spinning, I've been trying to work on my relationship with the kick spindle that the husgeek built me for Christmas this year. It was a wonderfully sweet thought, which I know he put an incredible amount of time, effort, and patience into. But I reluctantly admit it doesn't work as well as I thought a kick spindle would. It's awkward and there's a slight catch in it's rotations. But I keep trying it out, hoping in vain that something clicks.

Please pay no mind to the hideous pink carpet that we inherited with the house. ugh.

Also, I was trying to take some pictures to upload for my stash to Ravelry. But I've come to release that my camera is strictly point and click. Oi vey. Everything came out very blurry or completely incorrect colors. No macro = crap yarn pictures! This is going to have to be my hanging out camera. Thus, Husgeek's camera and I need to have a heart to heart and get on speaking terms again! I can't post anything to my etsy shop until I can get decent pictures to properly show off my goods.

The pink carpet goes nicely with your bedding, and at least the carpet looks fairly new. With my 5 cats, three of which are black, the cream colored carpet on my stairs is always covered in cat hair. Not to mention the frayed edges where they have used the carpet as a scratching post.
