I have been putting off buying The Entertainment Book for a few weeks now. Back then I had noticed it was 50% off on the official website and I thought it'd be a really good thing to have on hand for when the Husgeek's birthday rolls around next month. We are on a strict budget so being able to go out for a nice dinner without blowing 2 months' worth of the Dining Out budget would be heavenly! Today I read on another blog that if you signed up on Ebates with a referral and bought the book it would break down to costing around $1.49 after the cash back and bonuses! That's it; I was totally sold. I've never bought an Entertainment Book before so I'm anxious to see what kind of deals are inside.
If you've never heard of Ebates before it is a site that you earn cash back on purchases you make online. You log into their site, find the store you want to shop at, then click on the link. It will then take you to the EXACT store you could have gone to on your own. BUT they then give you a percentage back for clicking through their site first. They have lots of stores like Joann's, Old Navy, JCPenney, Barnes & Noble, etc etc. I was pretty surprised by the variety. Right now Ebates is running a promotion where if you sign up via my referral you get a $10 bonus! The only catch is you have to make a purchase the day you sign up. I signed up, got a $10 bonus, and bought the Entertainment Book, which earned me another $6. I'm all about testing out anything that saves me money or rewards me for what I'm already going to be buying!

I got an e-mail about the Entertainment Book being 1/2 off. I'm pretty tempted, we use it for the bowling and golf coupons and they have stuff in their for Randazzo's too. The restaurant selection is pretty decent too. Keep me posted about the ebates thing, since I shop at Joann and Old Navy online a lot.
Joann is 5% cash back and Old Navy is 3% cash back... Ebates Rules... They stink with Borders gift cards though...
